In preparation for my participation at the Great British
Sampler Weekend in the UK in 2023, attendees were invited to stitch this small
teaser of a sampler. This was stitched on 32-count overdyed Lugana by Fabric
Flair in the colorway Mushroom Slushee using overdyed threads from Weeks Dye
Works and Classic Colorworks.
I continue to also do related covered buttons for my Sampler
in a Jar. This sampler is a reproduction originally stitched by Eliza Stringer
at the age of 6.
I'm looking forward to returning to England with plans to
visit London, Cambridge, Windsor, Bath, and possibly the Island of Wight, as well
as attending the stitching retreat in Swindon.
