A crazy quilt money dance purse made for my niece Alexis upon her marriage to Matthew Vacca. The purse was done in Crazy Quilt style with sepia-toned photo inserts of the happy couple and lots of beads, lace, and and specialty trims. In addition to using the traditional satins, silks, brocades, and velvets for the fabric base, I added some personal mementos to satisfy the Something Old, New, Blue, and Borrowed bride thems. The first view has some old lace cut from my nightgown (a gift from my mother) worn on my wedding night (old), the blue heart on the bottom picture is from my garter in my wedding (blue), the photographs of Matt and Alexis were borrowed from Alexis, and all the fabrics were new. Inside the bag is a small pouch for coins and a photo of my mother.
