Moon Ride: A Quilt for Charity

I participated in a small quilt swap in the fight against Ovarian Cancer in 2015 entitled The Mini Teal Swap 2015, an annual fundraiser chaired by Beth Kerr Helfter, owner of EvaPaige Quilt Designs in MA.  The swap involved using the teal fabric and attempting to create a mini quilt that your swap partner would enjoy based upon her wish list.  Katie Kasel was my partner and she loved animals and bright colors, like fushia and pink.  My response to her wish list is below.  Other than the teal fabric, other surface fabrics are hand-dyed.  I used fusible applique, free motion quilting, hand embroidery, and embellishments to create Moon Ride.

The back used some lovely striped cotton that carried over the colors on the front to frame the quilt label.
