Dancing With The Stars

The Fall exhibit planned for The Rogue Art Quilters is themed 'Transition'.  The quilt guidelines included the use of the turquoise batik fabric and application of embellishments.  The exhibit location is Grilla Bites Restaurant in Ashland, OR, during October and November, 2012.

My quilt visualizes the theme via the use of the woven fabric technique used in the background, the color changes of the dancers, and the different dance positions.  Embellishments include gold cording, crystals, metallic threads and three Kisii-carved Soapstone Stars from Kenya.  The quilt size is 26" x 22".  A picture of the quilt label is also shown.  Click on the pictures for a closer look.
